Adobe® Flash® Player is a lightweight browser plug-in and rich Internet application runtime that delivers consistent and engaging user experiences, stunning audio/video playback, and exciting gameplay.

The Adobe Flash Player is an Internet browser plug-in that enables playback for streaming Flash video. The application is widely used on the Web and it has been adopted by online video destinations like YouTube, Vimeo, Hulu and Dailymotion. Any video that has been encoded to stream through the Adobe Flash Player is stored in the FLV format. Once the Adobe Flash Player has been installed, the plug-in will serve as the default playback component for any online video sharing website that uses Flash.

Step 1

Launch an Internet browser and access the Adobe Flash Player Support Center website (see Resources).

Step 2

Click on the 'Get the latest version' link to set up the Adobe Flash Player plug-in. It may be necessary to override your Internet browser's security settings into order to proceed to the next step.

Step 3

Click the 'Agree and install now' button to start the plug-in installation. The 'Adobe Download Manager' screen will load and display the installation progress.

Click the 'Close Download Manager' button when the 'Installation Complete' message appears. A confirmation page will automatically load. If the graphic animation on the page appears, then the Adobe Flash Player plug-in has been successfully installed.
